Chinese New Year does not happen on the same day every year. In 2021, it begins on February 12th and lasts for 15 days. Each year on the Chinese calendar is represented by one of 12 animals. 2021 is the Year of the Ox.
Our crafts were a dragon and lantern. Dragon dances are an important part of Chinese celebrations. They bring good luck and fortune for the coming year. A Lantern Festival marks the end of the Chinese New Year. The lanterns light the way for the New Year.
