Witches Brew Soap Foam

If you haven’t made soap foam yet, what are you waiting for?

Soap foam is a super simple sensory play recipe that kids will love and you’ll feel good about making for them. A simple water activity that’s a treat for the senses.  We love homemade sensory ideas!
Did you know that homemade sensory play materials like this fluffy soap  foam  are amazing for helping young kids develop an awareness of their senses?

Soap foam is so easy to whip up and all you need is common household supplies!

  • 1.5 cups water
  • ¼ cup of dish soap
  • Lots of food coloring
  • Large bowl
  • Electric Beaters

STEP 1:  First mix water, soap, and food coloring gently in the bowl so it combines. You are going to need extra food coloring even though it may appear quite dark at first.

STEP 2: Then grab the beaters and on high, with the bowl tipped, mix until you get bubbles going. Beat for 2 mins to get really tight bubbles!

STEP 3: Transfer foam to a play tray.

This sensory foam is perfect for an afternoon of play! You can lay down a shower curtain or tablecloth under the container to minimize bubbles everywhere! If it’s a nice day, take it outside and it won’t matter if you get bubbles everywhere. When you are done with your soap foam, wash it down the drain!
