Happy Halloween

Our Halloween Party!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat ~ Smell My Feet

To prepare, print the verse shown onto a sheet of orange construction paper for each child.  Paint the bottoms of a child's bare feet with white tempera paint and have him carefully stand on his paper to make footprints.  Allow the paint to dry; then use a black marker to add a ghostly face to each footprint.  Tape lollipops to the paper.

Autumn Season

THEME: squirrels, acorns and corn.
We talked about squirrels gathering acorns and store them away for the winter and that corn is something squirrels like to eat.
WORKSHEET:
From 'The Mailbox' workbook
CRAFT:
Dip the child's hand in paint and press the finger tips onto corn to make kernels.
This ear of corn we made little balls out of tissue paper and glued them onto the corn.
We had an acorn scavenger hunt.

GO AWAY Big Green Monster!

Halloween is creeping, creeping, creeping closer every day.
I have a lot of Halloween crafts this year and monsters are one of them.
MONSTERS are AWESOME!

STORY TIME:
COLORING:
CRAFT:
Cut out a haunted house shape (I got mine from a coloring book)
To teach the children at this age how to follow directions is a good learning skill.
I told them which sticker goes in which place.
SONG:

Pumpkins

CRAFT:
Cut out a black pumpkin shape, cut orange squares.
Glue the squares on the pumpkin.
Add google eyes and a smile.

PAINTING
Pumpkin painting is always a bit hit with the kids!

SHAPES
Cut out triangles and rectangles.
Talk about the shapes and have the children create their own pumpkin face.
We made pumpkin necklaces out of their artwork.
