Pete the Cat is one of my all time favorite characters. 

There are so many books and activities to choose from. 

Half the time I don't know which one to choose because they are that fun!

  Check out a few we did this week.

 

The kids like Pete the Cat and his 4 Groovy Buttons the best.

Cute Cupid Craft

Kids can make this cute cupid and decorate for valentine's day.

Supplies

toilet paper rolls

pink tempura paint

white tissue paper

cardstock (cut out wings)

wiggle eyes

button

white yarn

white crayon

glue

Directions

paint the paper roll pink and let dry

glue on wiggle eyes and button nose onto paper roll

glue white tissue paper onto cut out card stock wings

glue wings onto paper roll

add yard for hair and draw a smile

Good Luck {Chinese New Year}

 Wishing you Good Luck on this Chinese New Year Day!

Supplies: 

 Popsicle sticks

 red marker or colored pencil

red ribbon

 elmers glue

black button (optional)

 chinese symbol (I printed off the internet onto card stock)

Snowman Math Game

I found snowmen clipart, colored them, added numbers and got them laminated.

It's a simple math game matching the number of buttons with the number on the snowman's hat.

Christmas Tree Counting Game

I laminated Christmas tree cutouts and put numbers on the stars.  Have each child put a button (pom-pom or whatever counters you have)  on the tree that corresponds with the number.

Little one cannot count yet, but she still enjoyed putting the buttons on the tree.

Snowmen sock puppets

To make these snowmen, I used: socks, buttons, card stock cut outs and a hot glue gun.
