Strawberry Disguise

This week, our preschoolers enjoyed reading the beloved story The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear! The children loved following along as the little mouse tried to keep his delicious strawberry safe from the mysterious bear.

After the story, we got creative by making our own bright red strawberry crafts! To add to the fun, the children "disguised" their strawberries using different art materials, just like the little mouse tried to hide his precious treat. They had so much fun using their imaginations to decorate and camouflage their strawberries in unique and creative ways.
This activity encouraged creativity, storytelling, and fine motor skill development while helping the children make meaningful connections to the book. We loved seeing all of the imaginative ideas our little learners came up with, and no two disguised strawberries were alike!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? is a beloved favorite among young children! Its colorful illustrations, repetitive text, and engaging rhythm make it a story that preschoolers love to read again and again. As children eagerly predict which animal will appear next, they build important early literacy skills while enjoying a book that sparks their imagination and excitement for reading.
