This book is about a little pilgrim girl, Mini who wants to help but everyone tells her she is too little. Until Mini meets a friend. She isn't too small to make a friend.

I braided yarn to use as a belt around the Indian girl.
I cut out the clothing from a coloring sheet for the children to glue onto their Pilgrims and Indians.

Thanksgiving Friends
5 Pilgrims fishing in the morn (pretend to fish)
5 Indians help them plant corn (pretend to put a seed in the ground)
The Indians bring the corn (hold up right hand)
The Pilgrims bring the meat (hold up left hand)
Ten new friends sit down to eat (join hands together).
Lovely photos of the children, and that does sound like a delightful book for your country.. we don't have Indians or Pilgrims here.
