Sink or Float!!

Today, the children explored a classic science experiment—Sink or Float! We filled a bowl with water and gathered a variety of everyday objects: a spoon, a toy car, a leaf, a crayon, a block, and even a rubber duck.

Each child took a turn choosing an item, making a prediction, and then carefully placing it in the water to see what would happen. The excitement grew as we watched objects splash, sink to the bottom, or bob happily on the surface.

Through this activity, the children practiced critical thinking by making predictions, observing cause and effect, and learned new vocabulary words, such as sink, float, heavy, and light. Best of all, they were engaged in hands-on science while having fun together!

This simple activity helps build curiosity and a love for discovery—one splash at a time!
