Wet Dog

BOOK
As you read the story be sure to encourage each child to "pat-a-pat" his legs and 'shaky-shake' his body at the appropriate times during the story.

CRAFT
Take a bit of water with blue food dye.
Use a cotton ball to drip drops of water all over the dog.
You can have older children draw their own dog.

ACTIVITY
Ask: "Does anyone know how a wet dog dries itself?"
After the youngsters respond, have them rested to be puppies.
"Spray" the puppies with a hose and prompt them to shake off the water.
